This policy applies to the NextIT messaging and communication services operated by NextGen AI Technologies for correctional facilities, including any text messages sent on behalf of a facility.

NextGen AI Technologies provides secure communication, education and facility software for government and correctional facilities, including the NextIT application. This policy explains how we handle personal information, including the mobile numbers used for text messaging.

• Contact details you or a facility provide, such as name, mobile phone number, postal address and email address.
• Message content, delivery records and timestamps for text messages, video visits and calls placed through the system.
• Your messaging preferences, including whether you opted in or replied STOP or HELP.
• Technical data such as device type, browser, and log information needed to operate and secure the service.

• To deliver messages between an incarcerated person and the contacts that facility staff have approved.
• To keep records that facility administration requires for safety, security and audit purposes.
• To provide support, prevent misuse, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Contacts receive text messages only after facility staff have vetted them and they have agreed, in writing or verbally during the approval process, to receive messages at the number on file. Message frequency varies based on how often the incarcerated person writes. Message and data rates may apply.

You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or reply HELP for assistance. Full program details are on our SMS Terms and Conditions page.

We do not sell personal information. No mobile information, including phone numbers and opt-in consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Information is disclosed only to service providers that help us deliver the service (such as our messaging carrier), to the facility that operates the program, or when required by law.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems limited to authorized staff. Records are kept only as long as needed for the messaging program, facility recordkeeping requirements and applicable law.

You may ask to review, correct or delete your contact information by contacting the facility that approved you or by reaching us through our website. Opting out of text messages does not affect any other service you may use.
