Guard Meal Tracker transforms traditional manual meal-counting procedures into a digital, barcode-driven workflow.
Instead of relying on paper lists, manual counts, or memory, correctional staff can use a centralized system to document every meal transaction while providing administrators with real-time operational information and historical reporting.
Guard Meal Tracker — Scan. Verify. Serve. Track.
Staff can scan an inmate's barcode using a connected barcode scanner to quickly record breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The system identifies the inmate and immediately records the meal transaction.
The Bulk Scan feature is designed for high-volume meal lines. Once activated, the scanner remains ready for the next inmate automatically. The system clears and refocuses the scanning field after every successful scan, allowing staff to process a continuous line without repeatedly clicking buttons.
Guard Meal Tracker prevents an inmate from being recorded as receiving the same meal more than once.
If an inmate attempts to receive a second breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the system immediately identifies the duplicate transaction and displays:
⚠️ PRISONER ALREADY SERVED
A three-cycle siren alert provides an audible warning to staff, helping identify duplicate meal attempts immediately.
When an inmate's barcode is scanned, Guard Meal Tracker checks the inmate's dietary information.
If special dietary requirements or allergies are recorded, the system displays a prominent warning on the workstation screen containing the inmate's name and applicable dietary information.
This allows staff to identify important dietary information before completing the meal transaction.
Guard Meal Tracker records and displays scan times based on the local system time of the workstation performing the scan.
This provides correctional facilities with a consistent operational record based on the actual workstation where the transaction occurred.
Facilities can add large numbers of inmate records using Excel or CSV spreadsheets.
Staff can upload a file, review the imported records, and confirm the information before adding the records to the system.
Guard Meal Tracker transforms traditional manual meal-counting procedures into a digital, barcode-driven automatically generates operational meal reports for selected reporting periods.
Reports include:
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner | Total Served | Duplicates | Missed Meals
Administrators can review daily meal activity, analyze totals, and identify discrepancies in meal distribution.
Reports can be printed directly from the application, allowing facilities to maintain physical records or provide documentation for administrative review.
Guard Meal Tracker is designed around the operational needs of correctional facilities where accountability, accuracy, speed, and security are essential.
The system can help facilities:
